Monday Morning Message

>> 22 March 2010

The message is in the music.

Come down to the river
Come and let yourself in
Make good on a promise
To never hurt again

If you're lost and lonely
You're Broken down
Bring all of your troubles
Come lay 'em down

All you sinners
And the weak at heart
All you helpless
On the boulevards
Wherever you are now
Whatever evil you've found
Bring all of your troubles
And come lay 'em down

We're all tied to the same old failings
Finding shelter in things we know
We're all dirty like corrupted small towns
We'll bring our troubles
We'll bring our troubles
To lay 'em down

All you rich men
And the high above
All those with
And without love
All you burdened
Broken down
Bring all of your troubles
Come lay 'em down

'Those who achieve, do not know that they can't.
Those who fail to achieve, do not realize that they can.'
- Ralph Marston

Think you can't do anything for God? Think again! HE made you for a purpose. Just pick up your Bible and read about the people God has used. A shepherd boy, fishermen, a prostitute... You are fearfully and wonderfully made! Say YES! to God and open your heart to His plan for your life.

Sorry the mesage is late today. I was sick all weekend and barely knew what day it was. 8-}

12yo vs speech contest judge...

>> 17 February 2009

This young 7th grader stood her ground, in spite of threats of disqualification, and spoke eloquently on a forbidden topic. One 'offended' judge stepped down and she won first place. Offended?! Get real!

I wish I could upload this video, but it would take me well over an hour out here. You can watch it here or here.

About Me

My photo
I love JESUS! I'm a 7th-generation Florida native, dyed-in-the-wool Southron belle. I just recently dusted off my genealogy notes and, thanks to a long-lost relative, nearly doubled the details. We started home schooling when only 'outlaws' did it and still enjoy a daily quest for knowledge. These days, the family spends a lot of time birding, butterflying, spending as much time in 'the woods' as possible while they're still here.
