Coming up for air...
>> 16 September 2009
I can't believe it's been a MONTH since I posted here! It's just been one thing after another. Every time I think I'll sit down and type, something comes up to distract me. The latest... a sore throat and a broken stove. Duller had the electric company come out and install a house surge protector doohickey and a few hours later, the stove started buzzing. They sent the same guy out to look at the outlet, presumably to be sure it was his fault, not theirs. The outlet is fine and they will pay for repairs. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I'm cooking on a glorified hotplate. Oh, well, I do enjoy a challenge. 8-]
Duller has, apparently, brought home some bug that has had my throat tender and my tongue raw the past 4-5 days. Kinda feels like my vocal chords are strained. It's finally getting better and moving up into my sinuses, giving me a dull headache. At least I'm mobile, for which Duller is extremely grateful. He didn't have to bulldoze the kitchen - to make room for the stove shifting - by hisownself. On the bright side, my kitchen looks better than it has in months.
My poor camera is collecting dust and wondering why I'm neglecting it. If it ever stops raining, I'm going to treat it to a refuge outing. I know we need the rain, but I've about had enough. I want sunshine!
Thanks ever so, all y'all who haven't given up on me. I'll do better. 8-}
Love y'all! Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

Oh my friend. I sure hope you feel better!! You've been getting that much rain? Huh, when we get rain it lasts about 5 mins and then is gone.
North Florida must be a magnet! LOL
HUGGING you from over on this side!!
Kim
You need some elderberry syrup---works great on virus kind of things.
Kim, I'd happily send the rain your way. Y'all must have a stiffer breeze.
BP, I'm beginning to think it's more than just a bug. If I talk too loud, I can feel the strain on my vocal chords. *sigh* I might try some throat coat when Duller gets paid again. Meanwhile, I'm drinking echinacea tea with licorice and eucalyptus sweetened with raw tupelo honey. Can't hurt. 8-}
Oh my dear friend, I hope you are feeling 100% soon! Drink some garlic tea - that kills anything!!!! (seriously)! Rest and relax, how about taking pictures under an umbrella? LOLOL - ok, maybe not. :)
