Poinsettia

>> 03 December 2009

OK, I confess, I posted this so I'd know where to find it later. I'm notorious for saying, 'I'll get back to this later' and forgetting where I left it... if I even remember I was supposed to get back to it in the first place. Anyhow, I was clicking through the archives and thought this was pretty, as well as seasonally appropriate.

I miss being able to grow poinsettias outside. I can remember huge poinsettia bushes growing next to my childhood home. We never had to cover or bring in any plants. If we ever get to move back to the non-arctic part of the state, I won't take that for granted again.
Hope y'all are having a blessed CHRISTmas month! I'm exhausted already... amd haven't even started doing anything Christmassy. Gonna be a looooonnnnng month. 8-}
Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

About Me

My photo
I love JESUS! I'm a 7th-generation Florida native, dyed-in-the-wool Southron belle. I just recently dusted off my genealogy notes and, thanks to a long-lost relative, nearly doubled the details. We started home schooling when only 'outlaws' did it and still enjoy a daily quest for knowledge. These days, the family spends a lot of time birding, butterflying, spending as much time in 'the woods' as possible while they're still here.
