Ain't God good?!

Praise God!!!

Last week, Duller and I both were bitten by Lone Star ticks. Learning from my mistake in the removal process, he got off easy. I ended up with a big nasty rashy welt. So, I begrudgingly started taking antibiotics. I really hate taking pills, coz their side effects are way too often worse than the condition they're addressing. I mean, really, if you're taking an anti-depressant, you're warned to stop immediately if you start feeling suicidal! 'Side effects may include.... death.'

Aaaaaanywho... I fretted all week with the appearance of the rash. It seemed that my entire life was centered around thoughts of that stupid bite and all the negative possibilities. I knew this was wrong thinking and kept pulling on the wheel to steer my thoughts into a U-turn. A couple days ago, I happened to sit down and watch 700 Club, Right near the end, the hosts usually pray and have words of knowledge. Well, I had just started thinking about the bite... again... and the little bottle of anointing oil I pulled out the other day crossed my mind. But I thought, 'Nah, the doctor said not to out anything on it'. Not 5 minutes later, during the closing prayers, Kristi said something about someone with a skin rash that God is going to take care of... 'just rub a little anointing oil on it'... WHOA! Isn't God amazing?! I jumped up and rubbed a little oil on the rash and put it in God's hands. I have one more pill to take today. It's improving, but doesn't seem like one pill will be quite enough. BUT, God said it, so I'm standing on it. Oh, sure, 'but what if' thoughts still pop ino my head, but I just keep chasing them off with The Word.

'Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.' - James 4:7

For I will restore health to you
and heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.

- Jeremiah 30:17

Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

I love the 700 Club. My parents watch it faithfully everyday. Just keep standing on the Word my friend.
But I'm curious how a tick got embedded on your lip? Just trying to figure that one out.
Hugging you my friend.

About Me

My photo
I love JESUS! I'm a 7th-generation Florida native, dyed-in-the-wool Southron belle. I just recently dusted off my genealogy notes and, thanks to a long-lost relative, nearly doubled the details. We started home schooling when only 'outlaws' did it and still enjoy a daily quest for knowledge. These days, the family spends a lot of time birding, butterflying, spending as much time in 'the woods' as possible while they're still here.
