yet another reason...

Yes, turns out there's another reason I stopped frequenting fabric shops. I have no self-control. I had to run up to Wall-ee-world this evening and wandered over to the sewing department just to see if anything was on clearance (read: extremely cheap). Much later, I left with 12 freshly cut pieces of fabric. In the end, it turned out to be a serendipitously fabulous deal, but still... If I don't start sewing soon, Duller's going to disown me for sure. To my credit, I have washed 6 or 8 pieces from my previous buying binge. And I put back 2-3 bolts. And I didn't buy any more patterns today. Although 5 previously ordered patterns did show up in today's mail. The worst part is, I'm not all that great a sewer (We need another word for that. I wouldn't dream of calling myself a seamstress - not even a poor one). But it's the only semi-crafty thing at which I can be at least mediocre. (Check out my one attempt at beading). Hmmmm... this could work. I'll just dangle the I'm-going-to-use-this,-honest carrot in front of Duller this weekend as motivation to clear out that office. *heheheh* I may not be crafty, but I'm certainly 'crafty'. LOL!

Y'all have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

And that's why I like you lol. I'm not a great sewer either but yet I can't stop buying fabric and patterns. I'm not even sure I enjoy it lol.
Hugs.

LOL!! Been there done that.
Last year I was getting into sewing a lot of projects. I bought a lot of fabric too. Don't think your the only one with this problem..LOL. I've read A LOT of blogs of people who do the same thing..

The accomplishment is actually USING the fabric..LOL

About Me

My photo
I love JESUS! I'm a 7th-generation Florida native, dyed-in-the-wool Southron belle. I just recently dusted off my genealogy notes and, thanks to a long-lost relative, nearly doubled the details. We started home schooling when only 'outlaws' did it and still enjoy a daily quest for knowledge. These days, the family spends a lot of time birding, butterflying, spending as much time in 'the woods' as possible while they're still here.
